The endeavor began, of course, before the site and design process. A vision put on paper resulted in many discussions and inputs which were constantly reconsidered. One day we got serious and the project was roughly structured on paper. Everything else then took its course.

Site and design process
The site analysis and design process has picked up steam. Full focus is being put into the Summerside project. The site analysis is quickly finding the optimal site, as well as some alternative sites. The design process is in full swing.

The design process for the Summerside logo is complete and the Summerside Festival logo is born
15. JUNE 2022
Grenchen welcomes us
The city of Grenchen is interested in the project and signals its willingness to host the Summerside in Grenchen.
06. JULY 2022
Project presentation in the commission
The Summerside Festival project may be presented to the City of Grenchen in the Municipal Council Commission.

Decision in principle
The city of Grenchen gives the organizers a positive decision in principle. The definitive planning will be started immediately
07. SEPTEMBER 2022
First bands are announced
With Apocalyptica the very first band for the Summerside Festival is announced. Guano Apes and the Hollywood Vampires follow the days after.
09. SEPTEMBER 2022
The first presale starts
The presale for the first edition of the Summerside Festival starts exclusively at Ticketcorner.
DEZEMBER 2022
Early Bird Sold Out
The Early Bird tickets are completely sold out
JANUARY 2023
Bandcontest startet
With exactly 60 bands the bandcontest starts. The12 best bands will win a slot on the Rise Up Stage at the Summerside
24. FEBRUARY 2023
The Bandcontest is over
With over 50'000 votes the Band Contest comes to an end.
12 bands have fought their way to the Summerside.
MARCH 2023
Electronic Selection
With 8 top acts, including: Fritz Kalkbrenner, Alle Farben, Kavinsky and more we announce the Electronic Selection
02. APRIL 2023
The Lineup is complete
With over 40 artists confirmed over 2 days, Summerside enters its first edition.

Construction start
The materials are delivered to the festival site, the construction work has officially started.
JUNE 2023
The Festival is live
Punctually at 12:20 pm Girish & The Chronicles open the Summerside Festival on the Main Stage
24. JUNE 2023
Sold Out!
The Summerside is sold out with 30,000 visitors at the first edition. The first execution is also already history on this day. The first edition was a success.
11. AUGUST 2023
Summerside continues!
After the debriefing and the internal analysis we announce that the Summerside will go into the second edition next year. In addition, the ticket pre-sale starts at the same time.
