The Finnish heavy metal band Battle Blast was formed in Helsinki in 2008. Their musical style is based on the synth-hardrock 80s. The band had their big breakthrough at the Waken Metal Battle, where they left the stage as voting winners. Their debut album "Steel", which was only released in Finland, went straight to #7 on release and since then the Finns have released six more albums. Their last four albums have always been #1 in Finland, and the band is climbing higher and higher internationally as well, enjoying great and increasing popularity.
